Corpse bride
Witajcie!
Dzisiaj chciałam poruszyć kolejny aspekt składający się na mój styl. Jest to cały dział kostiumów filmowych oraz inspirowane nimi rekonstrukcje i cosplaye. I wcale nie mam na myśli tylko filmów kostiumowych (choć tam również zdarzają się wielce inspirujące stylizacje), ale również anime, filmy fantasy i s-f oraz kino familijne :) Jednym z autorów filmów z ciekawszymi kostiumami jest... Tim Burton oczywiście :), najczęściej współpracujący z Colleen Atwood (Sweeney Todd, Alice i in.).
Czemu poruszam ten temat? Szukając inspiracji do strojów dla mnie i dla A. na pewną dużą imprezę (o której napiszę na pewno nie raz wprzyszłości), przypomniałam sobie o moim ukochanym filmie "Gnijąca panna młoda", po raz kolejny rozczulając się postacią Emily oraz zachwycając się cosplayami :) W związku z tym, dziś garść inspiracji :)
Dla stałych czytelników mojego bloga pewnie jest to już wiadome, ale napiszę dla tych nowszych - mój strój na pewno nie będzie rekonstrukcją filmowego stroju, raczej inspiracją w stylu ostatniego zdjęcia poniżej. Nie jestem zwolenniczką wiernego i dokładnego w każdym najmniejszym aspekcie kopiowania strojów - dotyczy to zarówno historyzmu, jak i przebrań ;) Ortodoksja nie jest w moim stylu po prostu ;) Na razie moja praca nad kostiumem polega na próbach zafarbowania sukienki na niebiesko :D Co dalej, zobaczymy...

Today I'd like to talk about another aspect of my style, which is film costumes and various cosplays and reenactments inspired by them. And I don't mean only costume films (though there are many inspiring outfits
in them) but also anime, fantasy, sci-fi and even family movies. One of the filmmakers always having exceptional costumes in his films is, obviously, Tim Burton, who most often cooperates with Colleen Atwood ("Sweeney Todd", "Alice" etc.).
Why am I taking up this topic? Recently, I was lookin for costumes for myself and A. for a certain event (which I shall write about in the future) and what crossed my mind was my beloved movie - Tim Burton's
"Corpse Bride". And so today I am posting a handful of Emily-based inspirations and cosplays :)
For the regular readers of my blog it may be already known, but I will write it keeping the newcomers in mind - my creation will certainly not be an exact replica of the film costume, rather an inspiration (like in the last of the pictures below). I am not fond of exact replicas down to every detail, and it applies both to historical clothing and costumes. Orthodoxy is simply not my style ;) So far my work on the costume mounts down to endless attempts of dying a dress blue :D What next - we shall see...
